Description
The iconic RECOR site will be transformed into one of Flanders' most sustainable business campuses from 2024. RE|CORE stands for returning to the core. To the essence. To what really matters: the health of people (People) and the environment (Planet) in a business context that allows for profitability (Profit). The site is located in an industrial area and this will remain the main destination of the new sustainable development. Nevertheless, a lively mix of commercial buildings, office/office-type premises for large and small companies, complemented by support services will be provided in an attractive environment.
The office building is located at the front of the site along Sint-Truidersteenweg and has excellent visibility from the Grote Ring as well as the E313. The building consists of 6 floors with a type floor of +/- 773.5 m² each (levels 1 to 4) and a clear height of 290 cm. The ground floor of +/- 621.7 m² has an exceptional free height of 385 cm. The new topping (5th floor) with spacious terraces consists of meeting facilities (308 m²) to support the businesses. When renovating this office building, maximum attention was paid to sustainability and circularity. The building's concrete structure, concrete inner walls and staircase were preserved. The removed materials will be reused to the maximum extent. In addition, the building will be cooled and heated using geothermal energy.
The offices will be delivered as landscape offices with the latest technology such as dynamic SAPP climate ceiling, LED lighting, ventilation system, solar control glazing,... Finally, the internal walls and columns are finished with felt acoustic cladding. In addition, each office floor has a private bathroom (with shower) finished in a seventies vibe.

Location & Transport
RE/CORE is located at the Hasselt-South slip road of the E313 (Antwerp-Hasselt-Liège) and Hasselt's main ring road. Due to its excellent location next to several major traffic axes, the RE/CORE site is easily accessible by car as well as public transport. For example, there are six different bus stops in the vicinity, all of which are between 6 and 12 minutes' walk from the office building on the site. Hasselt railway station is a 30-minute walk away. The commute between the station and the site by public transport takes about 12 minutes in both directions. The site is flanked on two sides by major bicycle axes, which are part of the bicycle route network in Limburg.
