Description
The second phase of the Alverberg office complex (designed by Jamaer Architects) was completed in 2016–17 and consists of five office floors totaling approximately 1,393 m². The Alverberg site is strategically located along Hasselt’s Grote Ring and offers excellent visibility and accessibility.
This modern and energy-efficient office building (with a primary energy consumption of only about 60 kWh/m²/year, below the Paris Climate Agreement target of 85 kWh/m²/year) is designed with high efficiency, featuring an external elevator and stairwell core surrounded by large glass walls. Furthermore, the spacious restroom area is centrally located, allowing for optimal use of the office space. The available third floor already features a practical layout with a kitchenette/coffee corner, various meeting rooms, a training room, individual desks, and spacious open-plan areas. During the construction of Alverberg II, modern technologies were utilized, such as LED lighting (with motion detection), a raised computer floor, a ventilation system, and a VRV system for heating and cooling via heat pumps. There are two underground parking levels beneath the office building, in addition to a spacious landscaped outdoor parking lot (with charging stations).
